Closing ceremony of the RWH tank construction training at UNAM Hose Eduardo dos Santos Engineering Campus, Ongwediva

On 27th of October 2014 all RWH tank training participants came together for an official closing ceremony at UNAM Hose Eduardo dos Santos (Engineering) Campus, Ongwediva. In theoretical lectures held at the University they gained further understanding in several aspects of rainwater harvesting and irrigation, the lectures where linked to the to “CuveWaters Rainwater Harvesting Technology Toolkit” which was also published during the event.

Afterwards the responsibility for the operation of the Rainwater Harvesting Research plant was handed over to UNAM. In a subsequent official ceremony at the site the trainees received their certificates as well as their personal CuveWaters RFWH technology toolkit containing valuable information on tank construction and community work regarding rainwater harvesting which will enable them to construct rainwater harvesting tanks and implement gardens beyond the CuveWaters project.

CuveWaters congratulates all training participants and wishes them all the best for future! 

We further want to thank all peoples and institutions who were involved in the training and the construction of the RWH facilities at UNAM Hose Eduardo dos Santos (Engineering) Campus Ongwediva; namely Isaac Kariuki and John Ndungu from One World Consultants (Kenya), Dayo Ogonmukun of UNAM, Robert Witkowski from Technische Universität Kaiserslautern, Julia Michaelis from Freie Universität Berlin as well as GIZ for funding the infrastructures which were constructed during the training.
